Alexis Bleu
Singer-Songwriter
Who is Alexis Bleu?
Alexis Bleu is a 19 year old singer-songwriter from Mooresville, NC. Her debut EP, titled ‘ALEXIS’ consists of four upbeat pop songs. ‘COPIED’, ‘FRIENDS’, and ‘RUN’ are songs about self-empowerment. ‘NOTHING 2 LOSE’ on the other hand, while still an upbeat pop song, has almost an eerie tone to it to keep the listener on the edge of their seat. All four songs contain original lyrics and melodies, all written by Alexis herself.
First Look Into The Music
While the lyrics and vocal melodies are 100% the work of Alexis alone, not everything can be a one-woman show! While Alexis produced and mixed three of the four songs on her EP, she had some extra help on her song, ‘COPIED’. Robert Venable, the mixing engineer for the Kelly Clarkson Show mixed the song, while Josh Bertrand (former lead guitarist for christian rock band Random Hero) produced the piece.
This is Alexis’ first time fully producing and mixing any of her own music, so this release acts as a milestone not only in her career as an emerging artist, but as a producer and mixing engineer. All three self-produced and mixed songs (and even the vocals for ‘COPIED’), were completed in Alexis’ home studio in Mooresville.
Artist Bio
Alexis Bleu is a 19 year old singer-songwriter from Mooresville, NC, though she’s a Michigander at heart, having lived there for five years. Alexis released her first EP under her real name, Hannah, when she was just 12 years old! She is now releasing music as Alexis Bleu, and has been since 2019. Alexis got her start by competing in Battle of The Bands at Herman's Hideaway in Denver, CO, as a solo artist. She ended up getting noticed by a local producer and started working on a three-song EP called ‘Mine’ to release to the world.
Recently, Alexis has been writing songs, working on her social media presence, and preparing for her first semester at Berklee College of Music in the Fall of 2023. She has been lucky enough to work with extremely talented musicians, such as Scarlet Keys, Justina Shandler, Kristin Cifelli, Steve Lehane and more!
The first artists that made Alexis Bleu realize she wanted to pursue music as a career were Selena Gomez and Katy Perry. Seeing Selena Gomez in concert was her first live music experience and from that point forward, she knew that music would be a part of her life forever. Some of Alexis’ other influences include Meghan Tainor, Ed Sheeran, Halsey, Julia Michaels, Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, and so many more!
